The transmitter part of the NIC is not working, or if you are using UTP, the 
wire pair for transmitting is interrupted. Try "Track ON" on the console on 
one of the old servers, and observe i the new one is "SAPping". If it is not, 
try another NIC in the new server, alternatively try another cable. Ofcourse 
if UTP, it could also be the receiving circuit in the HUB, which is making 
the trouble.
