The DVD is to be a simple backup of a directory and it's sub-directories. I
know that I could create an ISO of the directory tree. But all I wish to do
create a simple "Copy-N-Paste" to the DVD of the directory. IOW, the backed up
directory would be as easily readable from the DVD as it was from the HDD.

I can burn the directory manually by using one of the available CD/DVD burning
apps. And simply selecting the directory in the app and click burn.
But was hoping to automate the process with the use of a BASH script.
