Well, all I can say is that that Sounds like a rumor... I've not heard
one word about this...

On the other hand, in keeping with the trend of getting younger viewers
involved in Star Wars (remember ROTJ's teddy bears!)...Jacen, Jaina, and
Anakin would work in this respect...

Dunno... If true this would imply that GL's had a hand in shaping the
novels... And I've not heard anything of this sort either (beyond
restrictions, that is)... But let me think a minute... The twins Jacen
and Jaina were introduced in the first big trilogy of books which
re-started the SW craze...the Thrawn novels by TZ... Wasn't Anakin
introduced after these by another author?

IF true... I like it, but it seems to be asking a lot for the films to
pay respect to the novels... I don't want to stoop to my Star Trek
comparisons or anything (Boo! Hiss! Bad Dixon! Bad!) but Paramount's and
Pocket Books' relationship was always light years apart, with not a
care in the universe for continuity...
