As above. For trustee assignments, there are a variety of freeware tools
which allow you to record them in a form which allows easy restoration.
The one I'm most familiar with (as i wrote it ) is trstlist in jrb300a.zip
available from the apps directory on netlab2.usu.edu. The following
command would save all trustee assignments as 'grant' commands:
trstlist vol1: /ddft /b /l=vol1.bat
which could be reinstated by executing vol1.bat. There is a problem however,
doing this for SYS: Print servers have trustee assignments to their
subdirs of SYS:SYSTEM, but the GRANT program works only for user and group
objects.
