KENNER before Christmas?
Well, as of now, it looks as if very few new items will show up for the
winter holidays. The Jedi Duel 3-pack is a maybe, and it's possible that
Luke Bespin, Leia Endor Dress, Endor Rebel Commando, and Lando General
figures could show up before the new year - but don't bet on it. Oh yeah -
the Tauntaun could show up in the next shipment of Beast Assortments - so
keep yer eyes open! Other than that, little else is coming for the rest of
1997 from Kenner.
PREQUEL LINE?
Well, unconfirmed buzz has it that the line is just starting to be worked
on. Not bad... given almost one and a half years of lead time, I think we're
gonna be in for a treat. No specifics have surfaced outside of a possible
spring 1999 release for Wave 1... which isn't much of a scoop.

Galoob news?
Thanks to Scott Bradley, we have some news!
"I picked up the 2 new Action Fleet Classic Duels tonight. In Canada, the 2
sets (so far) are TIE Fighter (with Imperial Pilot and Stormtrooper) VS.
they do come in a lovely window box. The second one is TIE Interceptor (with
Imperial Pilot and Imperial Officer) VS. Millennium Falcon (with Lando
Calrissian and Rebel Trooper). Yes, you read it right - the Millennium
Falcon. It's very nice, but the cockpit only holds one figure. The picture
on this box shows Chewbacca sitting in the cockpit, so I surmise that when
the single version of the Millennim Falcon hits, it will contain Han Solo
and Chewbacca. The Millennium Falcon shoots a missile!
The undersides of the boxes picture all 3 playsets, as well as the 2 old
flight controllers along with the 2 new flight controllers - TIE Interceptor
and the Y-Wing. 4 new vehicle sets: Millennium Falcon (w/ Han Solo and
Chewbacca), Rebel Blockade Runner (w/Princess Leia Organa and Rebel Fleet
Trooper), Incom T-16 Skyhopper (w/Luke Skywalker and Biggs Darklighter),
Imperial Landing Craft (w/Sandtrooper and Imperial Officer). 2 new Battle
Packs (#13: Hoth Attack w/AT-AT Commander (General Veers), Snowtrooper,
Wampa, Han Solo on Tauntaun, Dead Tauntaun sliced open that you can place a
curled up Luke inside) and (#14: Death Star Escape (all figures): R2-D2, Han
Solo in Stormtrooper Disguise, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker in Stormtrooper
Disguise, Ben Kenobi, Darth Vader, and 2 Imperials which I will guess one is
Grand Moff Tarkin and the other is either Admiral Motti or General Tagge.)
Lastly there is a concept design prototype vehicle of Series Alpha Bespin
Twin Pod Cloud Car and Y-Wing Starfighter."
Thanks for the good word, Scott!
Also, several more items are coming out in the next few months, from battle
packs to MicroMachines vehicles that appear in the playset assortments -
good stuff!

STAR WARS: MASTERS OF TERAS KASI When?
Well, I preordered my copy from LucasArts October 31... I've asked three
people and I've gotten three answers.
LucasArts Catalog's email address: "You be receiving your order this week!
The official street date is Thursday, not Wednesday. Everything is staged to
have your order to you on Thursday. Thank you for you patience. We
appreciate your order!"
LucasArts 1-888 number: "Umm... that's been delayed until December, maybe
January." I proceeded to tell them the above information. "Well, we didn't
hear that!" My opinion on the LucasArts mail order catalog phone line
remains the same as it was during the Speederbike incident of '95. However,
from what I can determine, their email line is very well done.
Babbages software store: "Should be Thursday or Friday since it ships
Wednesday."
Well, that's that. I've heard great things and terrible things about this...
Kevin (a friend) tells me it's very smooth and easy to control. A few people
on usenet say the control is incredibly stiff with up to a second delay when
executing a kick. I dunno what the deal is. Also, for those videogaming
cheapskates out there (myself included), the Official US Playstation
Magazine issue #3 will include a PlayStation demo CD with a lot of new
games, including a demo for Teras Kasi. For $8, you might want to pick this
mag up - it's a pretty good deal.
