-=> After drinking his 3rd cup of coffee, Fred replies to Michael
MH> The problem I'd found was that when using the address book, the
MH> software would use the 'alias' as the e-mail address if there was
MH> anything in the 'alias' field. This, of course, limites the value of
MH> the 'alias' field; I think it should have been called a 'notes' field.
I guess that's why I never fill in the "alias" part.
MH> I've noticed that my computer slows down a lot when I start Juno.
FR> Mine slows down too; I guess from all the ads it searches for.
FR> I remember when I first started using Juno, it was much faster.
MH> Ever defrag your hard drive after using Juno? I suspected that
MH> fragmentation might be a problem, so I tried that one night. After
MH> doing it, Juno sped up noticeably. But it's still a lot slower than
MH> it was.
I defrag my hard drive about once a month, but I don't think the Juno
files are that big to make any difference.
MH> If I could figure how to tell what's going on, I'd remove some of
MH> those advertisement directories and try it. It would be a major
MH> operation.
MH> Suggestions are solicited.
I've been advised by others on this echo that you can delete All of the
ad directories without any problems.
Best regards,
Fred
