Oh, it's not that bad of a statement. His phrase that he repeated wasnt
about ¨the technology used (quite different) but about a more general
connectivity ¨issue. While the Internet predates Fidonet, mass
connectivity for the average ¨person started with fidonet and only later
shifted. Today, in many parts of ¨the world, the Internet connectivity is
still not financially as easily ¨obtained as a simple BBS dialup can be.
