A stranger should *never* be able to do that. However, you should. As you
know, my two most recent are Rottweilers. ROxy, being a street dog had to
be worked with seriously. Being a blind man who was a city dweller (inner
city NEw ORleans) we had to get that issue worked out. i *needed* her to
give me anything she picked up to inspect before she was permitted to
continue to chew on it. We had a couple of go-rounds over that issue, one
which ended up with me a bandaged hand and her some bruised ribs. AFter
that, no problem. IF she picked it up and I said "drop it" and
held my hand under her muzzle the found booty immediately dropped into my
hand. NO questions, no arguments. SHe knew if I deemed it safe it would be
given back.
Schatze otoh we acquired as a puppy. Food aggressive with most. Even a
bit with me. Kathy can take that bone and move it. SHe'll put up a bit of
a fuss with me however.
Regards,
Richard
