        the rumors that i have heard, and they make sense in light of what
        you put foreward, is that the final trilogy would deal with the
        solo children.  The themes, betrayal, good and evil, inner strength,
        etc... would be continued and in fact strengthened.  They would also
        put to rest the constant (dare i say it) canon debate by affirming
        them rather than contradicting them.  i mean doesn't anyone else
        find it too convinient that one of the solo kids is named anakin!
        seems like a setup to me.  in fact, the rumors i have heard have
        anakin turning to the darkside and betraying his twin siblings
        (hmm, wasn't there another set of twin siblings in a similar
        story?).  thus, the story of anakin skywalker, which the whole thing
        seems to be shaping up to be, would be continued vicariously through
        later generations.  i just find it all so convienient, the cut off
        date, the similarities, that they be unintended.
