If I may butt in a bit: it was a TWA Constellation that I saw do a 3 engine 
takeoff at Charleston, WV due to a starter problem. When UAL was getting 
started with B727s I used watch them do go-arounds at Denver with 1 & 3 at 
idle and #2 full bore. Rate of climb was interesting! :) Lots of smoke too. 
People living west of the field got very close looks at the new bird.
