How does the dog behave when you're feeding it?

Rotties are sweet, but look kind of intimidating.  The first time I saw one
up close was when I met up with my daughter and her family in Lafayette on
our way to Texas to escape Katrina.  I got into the suburban and felt this
hot breath on my neck.  I turned around to see a 150 pound Rottie staring
me in the face and she looked like she needed some water.  So, before we
took off again, I poured some artesian water into my cupped hand and let
her drink.  I had to repeat that several times.
