That you can not or will not make submissions in the format that the
echolist requires?

That you think the echolist has to follow some standards for Fidonet, when
in fact the Echolist is NOT part of Fidonet.

If you are so sure you are right...you could do exactly what I did....let
the moderators test out YOUR echolist. If it is acceptable to them, they
will stop using mine, and then yours can get the Echolist nodelisting.

The truly amazing thing Mark, is NO ONE other than you has ever hinted at,
expressed any concern about the way the Echolist software regards a series
of three of more --- to indicate the end of the submission.

And MOST folks who have things in their submissions that may cause the
echolist to not update as they would like make changes to their
submissions, rather than insist they can not.

Some of them have actually realized that they can submit rules files in a
format that the robot accepts and then post the rules files in their echoes
in a different manner....

Since you seem unable to work with the Echolist as it is, and as I run it,
I strongly suggest that you either build a better mouse trap and prove to
one and all that it is so superior that the moderators will abandon the
current one, or not use the echolist I operate.

If you do come up with a better mouse trap, I will no longer have to
consider who I might ask to take over the Echolist...and certainly not
worry if I turn it over to someone that the moderators will accept.

Of course the folks that have the same software that I do might also offer
the service to the moderators...and everone can have a great time
developing the better mouse trap.

Please feel free to let us all know when you will start.

On the other had, if you are going to drone on with complaints, etc. and
offer no alternative, I'll simply ignore the post.

thom
