Me, neither.

"The customer is always right" is bullshit. Sorry, but it is. In this
case, the woman was out of control and should not have been catered to. It
only reinforces her; next time she'll expect to get her way when she throws
such a tantrum, and that's what it was -- a tantrum.

The offense of caving in to the bee-yitch is that the manager set a
piss-poor example for the young clerk, who showed a helluva lot more
maturity and backbone than the manager did. The manager SHOULD HAVE BACKED
HIS EMPLOYEE. He did not.

I would go to the "capo di tutti capi" of that store and let him/her know
exactly what I think of the manager, and of that particular customer and of
the young man, who was much more professional than that manager can ever
dream of being. Too bad he was given a poor example. I only hope he went
home and told his parents, and that his parents are wise enough to back him
and support him.

Veloci--I'd like to lecture that manager myself--raptor
