That's the point. That's why peole are comming in Fidonet, even being
internet-freaks for quite a long time. You can also think about the
"spirit" of the old net, of the internet of that times, as the
web was not mistaken for internet, lynx was the ultimative browser and it
were no HTML-emails. *sigh*

Yep.

I have in background some nasty netmail flame on the same topic, and one of
the contra-fidonet arguments was: but the technology is simply out-of-date.
IMHO Fido-over-IP is the answer, but there's a new question - would it be
still the same community?
