I don't remember that, Will, but I do remember that their contributions
directly to Apache are how IBM established their credentials with the open
source community and got off to a good start with them from the very
beginning.  Given their rep in the free/open source world, I doubt
seriously that IBM ever dissed the GPL the way you suggest, or if they did,
it wasn't for very long.
