this part about being in the wild is part of why we give our dogs bones
when they are very young... surely they can catch birds and even turkeys...
i'd hazard a guess that they could also catch wild chickens if they wanted
to...

as for "the kind of dogs that hunts chickens"... just remember...
/all/ animals were once wild until man was able to domesticate them ;)
