(1:124/3152.0)He is probably saying this because we in EMS have not done 
a lot of research and data collection to show or prove anything. We know 
we are making a difference, we see it, but we can't prove it. We are 
going to have to do more to prove what we do and show th positive 
outcomes. In Bronchospasms, we make a difference, and by the time they 
reach the ED, they do not meet any severity or intesity criteria so they 
are sent home for us to see again. We have some around here in Durham, 
we see on a regular basis and all they want us to do is treat them and 
leave them there. Some have some really bad attacks, but after one or 2 
blounts, they are good to go. Another one is the narcotic ODs we have. 
The Heroin Capital here in downtown. One foot on the banana peel, the 
other in the grave, not breathing, we give them the miracle cure of 
narcan and they come around and cuss us out for taking their high away.
