SS> Hi Jim, how are you?
My nose is running and my feet are smelling... I think I'm upside-down.
SS> RB>> On the other hand, some registration sites add extreme fees for
SS> RB>> themselves, which further cuts down the willing to register.
SS> JH> Is this prevalent?
SS> I don't think so. Most of those are commercial registration sites, ie
SS> businesses. A number of US authors are represented by either The Thompson
SS> Partnership or Atlantic Coast Software. I find the latter have prices
SS> closer to the US price whereas The Thompson Partnership costs are much
SS> higher. Granted there is duty and VAT but I have always found it cheaper
SS> going to the author directly.
Cut out the middleman and you're sure to get a lower price. That makes
sense. I think that convenience does have its price, and as long as it
isn't a pound of flesh, it isn't too bad.
SS> >> How is the upcoming Eurocurrency going to affect you?
SS> RB>> The masses still don't care. Only a few people think about it with
SS> RB>> mixed feelings. We see the advantages, but the danger of membership
SS> RB>> of countries with a less stable currency sometimes worries us.
SS> And of course, here in the UK there is no thought about it at all, The
SS> Brits are soooo in love with their precious Pound.
How come you guys have the pound for money, stone for weight, and we
have pound for weight and stone for high?
