As some will know from rec.arts.sf.fandom and the TV listings, the first 
programme in the TV series "Fortean TV" was broadcast on C4 tonight.

Lionel Fanthorpe, Priest, fan, and writer, presented accounts of several 
strange happenings, walking a fine line between uncritical enthusiasm 
ond heavy-handed scepticism.  Though maybe including the "Goatsucker" 
pop video did suggest a certain degree of amusement.

And it finished with Lionel, on a rocky shore, singing a filk-like song 
about mermaids.
