Well, I always thought Simon was the "Hard Luck" Hero.  Never quite knowing 
his place in the universe.  And Yes, in that future, he became "Hollywood".
As to the Avengers.. I always liked the Team Books, and the Avengers always 
where the Cutting Edge of what was going on in the Marvel Universe.  Even 
when they where just (Just???) Cap, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Hawkeye, 
they Still acted as the Front line most of the time.
