I wish I could dismiss facts as easily as you do. West Germany had its
records open from the time of the American occupation. *EAST GERMANY*, on
the other hand just recently opened their parts of the files. For more than
40 years the Soviets kept them sealed and while East Germany hoped to be
reunited with West Germany they kept the Nazi records sealed. Now that
Germany is reunited and part of the EU they felt comfortable reopening that
wound to clear the air once and for all.

Correction to the Nazis (not all Germans) in the late 1930s into the early
1940s it was war. Not *ALL* Germans were Nazis and even some of those who
were figured out that Hitler was a sick, evil man as evidenced by the
attempted assassination plotS.
