 None of us have looked at the evidence in that depth, but I
 doubt he's innocent. I don't see several administrations
 pursueing this for 30 years. Remember, it's the German courts
 that want to try him.

 Which is nice, but the whole point of prosecuting war criminals
 is to deter future war criminals. Which is why it must be done
 in every possible case, regardless of how long it takes or any
 devine retribution in the offing.

 And he might just as well survive another 10. He might not even
 be as sick as they claim, faking such illness is an old
 technique for avoiding justice.
