I have used "Fuzzy Logic," where one can have partial truths.

"A Conflict of Visions" on -some's- dislike of "historical
samples." His reason, "historical examples" often go
against an individuals "vision of human nature" resulting
in "pyschic pain" for the individual. Pain something to be
avoided, the individual avoids that which gives the pain,
history that is contrary to their "vision of human nature."
