The above appears to be the one I"ll need.  WILl grab it from my uplink.

I've seen a lot of debate re: maximus and other bbs packages.  I wouldn't
be running doors, so that isn't an issue with me.  WIll eventually switch
to a linux system and a dsl connection, once I've acquired the hardware to
give the old blind man screen access for a second machine.

Back in the '90's when I started hubbing in southeastern IOwa I was the
only maximus board.  tWo or three of my downlinks were wildcat, one pc
board. tHe most popular system in town switched from wildcat with wildmail
and frontdoor to tag. HE couldn't get some issues straightened out though
and was too broke to register frontdoor so he switched to binkleyterm.  wE
had squish handling mail routing and then I convinced him to switch to Max.

ONE of his cosysops didn't like maximus as well because of the hoops to
jump through for ansi screen and the mecca language.  HOwever, a lot of
users liked the features I had, such as qwk upload/download from the check
mail menu, new user questionaires etc. HE made the switch and I helped him
get things running.

ONe thing I"ve always liked from the sysop side of things was the text
files for configuration and the security aspects.  I learned as I went and
found that I could owrk around some of the security features, such as
uploading files to change the bbs.

AS is obvious from my origin line, this bbs will be mainly an information
resource for emergency and disaster radio communicators.  Get in get what
you need/want, get out quick, that's the name of the game here.
