[deleted for brevity sake]
Carey, I have seen this exact same oddity in the past, and can almost
guarantee
you that the problem is NOT within Telemate, but rather in the BBS
software/setup of the host system that you are calling, or the file itself.
In
six years of running a BBS myself, I have personally had this happen to me
once
.... and it was a defective file of some sort. I recall that I took the
ile,
un-archived it, deleted the origional archive, then re-archived it, and the
file
was then able to be downloaded by everyone with no trouble.
Now, don't ask me WHAT was wrong with that archive....but obviously,
omething
was; and to this day, I have NO idea what.
BTW, have you tried Telemate with other systems? Even as far back in the
Ozarks are you are, I'm sure there has to be a couple of systems within arms
reach, aren't there? :-))))
Would really be interested to know your success, and thanks for filling us in
on what happened. Appreciate it much.
Best Regards,
     ---- Jim
