Sort of.  Irex was built against the 2.4 kernel in Linux.  The 2.6 kernel,
which most distros run, does dns differently that the 2.4 one.

Irex can't resolve dns names and crashes.  The only work around is to use an ip
address, but that doesn't help unless your uplink has a static address.
