My question is more to the reliability of the witnesses and evidence.  In some
cases doddering old people who hadn't seen the man in more than forty years when
he was tried. I'm sure at least some of them were told that the man up there had
been 'Ivan the Terrible' and when asked they said 'Yes, yes, that's him' - whether
or not they'd ever seen him before or not.

No, I'm saying he should be presumed not guilty and that the proof that he
is supposedly guilty is IMO at best unreliable.
