Hey Maurice! Apr 04 08:54 04, Maurice Kinal wrote to Mike Miller: MK> I'm surprised I haven't found anything yet so I am MK> thinking I must be looking at this wrong somehow. Yep. I think I got it with the right switches to cat and echo. Seeing that much of the pkt header is static quite a bit of the header can be a set of static files and then just redirect the cat (<-static fields), echo (<-dynamic fields), calls to a formatted date (<- for the time/date field), and redirect all this to a resulting pkt. I know this occured to me at one time but I obviously wasn't looking at this the right way on those prior attempts. Now I just need a better way to filter incoming pkt's and I think I can safely say, "I don't need no stinkin' Perl!" :-) Life is good, Maurice --- Msged/LNX 6.1.1* Origin: Little Mikey's Brain BBS - A work in progress (1:153/401.1) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 153/401 307 140/1 106/2000 633/267 |
