I don't care what they `unsealed'. And there wasn't much for them to `unseal'
in any case. After the war ended, the Allies and their legal-beagle bean-
counters went to work on `the Nazi records', abd uncovered a whole lot of
stuff the world was here-to-fore unaware of.


To my knowledge this man was a Soviet soldier who was a prisoner of war of the
Germans.


Stalin didn't just write off the Russian soldiers who were captured by the
Germans as `captured'....he considered them traitors who didn't fight hard
enough, and they faced harsh treatment when they were finally released (those
of them who managed to survive the Nazi proson camps).


Plus.....the Germans for many years had a dirty little habit of covering up
the trails of the real guilty ones (Josef Mengele is a good example), even
resorting to turning the hunters onto false trails to protect a former German
who was guilty of war crimes.


To us.....you and I.....many of the things the Germans did were war crimes. To
the Germans.......it was `war'!


I would be strongly skeptical about anything the `Germans' uncovered, or
`unsealed' in their records (records that have been sifted and pored over for
fifty or more years), that didn't point at a `German' as the culprit.


Pointing a finger at a foreign national (isn't this guy a Ukranian?) is easy,
especially with a distance of fifty or more years between the crime itself,
and any real evidence. And....if they were to actually get a conviction? Well
.....that would be a bonus by taking the heat off a German (probably the real
guilty party).


And....it won't be long before the Germans can say; `What?....US! You must be
deluded! Why.....everybody knows it was those foreigners who did all those
terrible things! We were all in church when that was happening, like good
little Germans!'


The holocaust and all that stuff was over fifty years ago. Give it a rest.
