I think I know why , at least one reason other than the more obvious
one and CM has mentioned it in his books.. some folks don't like him.
It's this: because in order to modify others behavior (including our
pets)- we must modify our own toward the other.

A lot o'folks donnawannandoodat...

So phooey.
They want a magic pill... Course the drug pushers will oblige. No
hair off their heads, and lotsa money they get that's for sure.

Want youd bored to death dog to settle down? Taking him for a walk too
much trouble/ Hiring somebody to do it costs too much? Uh ooh just
give him a pill and he'll be the proper stuffed pillow for ya..
