Hi there. 
I happened to notice in a brochure something very similar to this. 
It's called a Sim Stacker and takes 2 x Single sided 4Mb simms (1x36 or 32)
and converts them into one double sided 8Mb simm (2x36 or 32). The product
is sold by Paw Products and was advertised at app $25 including tax.
