The Korg SQD-1 Midi Recorder used 3" floppies which they called Quick Disks (QD). They were very expensive at the time so they were used as "flippies". Still have a couple of boxes with the machine. The main problem with these was though they had a tough plastic case similar to the 3-1/2" diskettes they didn't have a metal sliding cover over the slot. The hub was plastic and very small. The QD was a nice size though. Thin memory cards made them obsolete. Mike **** ... I worked hard to attach the electrodes to it. --- Blue Wave/DOS v2.30* Origin: Juxtaposition BBS, Telnet:juxtaposition.dynip.com (1:167/133) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 167/133 379/1 106/1 2000 633/267 |
