The Korg SQD-1 Midi Recorder used 3" floppies which they called Quick
Disks (QD). They were very expensive at the time so they were used as
"flippies". Still have a couple of boxes with the machine. The main
problem with these was though they had a tough plastic case similar to
the 3-1/2" diskettes they didn't have a metal sliding cover over the
slot. The hub was plastic and very small. The QD was a nice size though.
Thin memory cards made them obsolete.
