  As the Scripture notes "whoever touches Israel touches the apple of
God's Eye".

  I've often mused a scenario that a hostile toward Israel...like Iran
and Iraq, among others...would launch such an attack. Then, in a
precursor to Ezekiel 38...God would intervene, and have a "mysterious
wind" divert the missiles to the Mosque Of Omar (the Dome Of The Rock on
the Temple Mount). Then, while severely damaging the mosque...but not
totally destroying it...it would be obvious to investigators that the
missiles came from Islamic countries!!

  Since, I doubt that any religion would want to purposefully destroy
its own holy sites, you can imagine the backlash, etc. that would occur
if such a scenario were to occur. But, as the Scripture says "I am the
Lord...is anything too hard for Me??".
