There are now devices that can sen the rings to different devices, I have one 
where Ma Bell comes in the house.. line 1 goes to the reg phones (ring 1) 
line 2 goes to the modem (ring 2) and line 3 is open (ring 3)
But you can put this device anywhere in the house, it will just be a little 
harder to doi the same thing I do..
The device cost me about $55 and works GREAT
