| subject: | AMD 486DX4-120 CPU |
Murray, MB> If anyone is interested in a cost effective upgrade of their 486 to MB> achieve MB> Pentium performance, this brand new Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) 486 MB> DX4-120 MB> CPU (complete with heatsink and fan) is for you. Designed to be MB> installed in MB> a 486 motherboard by simply just replacing the old 486 CPU totally. MB> Running MB> at 120 MHz, this CPU is claimed to achieve performance equivalent to a MB> 75-90 MB> MHz Pentium. Not bad 'bang-for-buck' at $99. Preferrably call me MB> on (06) MB> 239 6953 after hours if you are interested, or reply to this message. thats crap. AMD dont claim P75 speeds until their AMx5x86 133 which is much faster than the 120, and no-where near P90 speeds. The Cyrix/IBM 5x86-100 is P75+ and the 5x86-120 is P90+. Pls dont quote misleading/inaccurate/false information.......
