Mike -
The DR-7 was only "optional" in the _very_ early TR-7s. It's
essentially a 150 mHz counter and provides the digital frequency
readout. You probably won't be able to find a TR-7 that
_doesn't_ have one, but be sure and ask/check before purchasing,
since it would be difficult to find a "loose" DR-7 today.
