    There was a question about the different 6146 tubes so I did a 
search and came across an article by Glen E. Zook, K9STH.  The article 
is very well written and discusses the different 6146 tubes and some 
alternatives.  Check out these two address for some good info on 6146 
tubes.  Also, you can do a search using Glen's call and find a lot of 
good info if you have the time.
