    I've tried to contact Dan Mohrbacher, the creator and moderator of this 
echo.  He had moved to Astoria, Oregeon after living in California, and I 
nly
saw him post the last time I talked to him RE: the above.  I am moderating

"BIBLE-STUDY" echo already, so, based on the last conversation I had with 
an,
if you are willing to do the e-listing every 6 months, and whatever, you have 
the job of moderator.  Dan had indicated he didn't want a heavy hand in 
moderating, just "get along with each other" and mellow the annual "paid vs 
volunteer" arguements that happen each year (usually around springtime, when 
everyone has cabin fever).   I know Dan personally from long ago, and I 
believe he had no problem with you moderating when your name came up.
    IMHO, I'd make Dan the "Moderator emeritus", but you have the job.  If 
there are any questions about this decision, you can refer them to me, and 
I'll notify Dan, but I doubt you'll have much of a hassle from the rank and 
file.  If you need the Echolist paperwork, I have a copy of it here, and I 
an
send it out to you crash.  Just let me know if you need it, or if you can 
garnish it locally.
    BTW, are you ever going to stop in and visit us in Connecticut's NW 
corner?  The next legislative breakfast is in January, 1997.  As always,
