Female dogs are known to do some strange things when in heat.  That's how I
got my shepherd.  Fortunately for me, my shepherd's mother was
discriminating when it came to who she mated with.  Usually another
shepherd, but the last time she managed to get with a Siberian husky.
  You may remember I had one of those puppies.
