Hi, I've just been reading the paper version of the 25th aniversary issue of 
Data Communications magazine, and found the articles by Bob Metcalfe 
(inventor of ethernet), Drew Major (co inventor of Netware), Radia Perlman 
(discoverer of the spanning tree algorithm) and others very enlightening.
