It was a great month.. thank you all VERY MUCH for the lovely blocks. I am
just thrilled to have them all. My choice was a blue and white block in
whatever pattern you wanted to send. I received blocks from:
Suzanne Pratt (sent the 54-40 or Fight block we've been talking about, wish I
could match my points that well :)
Kathy Oganezov (a neat, original Friendship Star variation :)
Pat Knox (a "Lucky Pieces" block, which I've never seen before. Got any
extras, Pat? ;)
Peggy Hood (a pretty sunflower/gingham print Irish Chain block :)
Teresa Herman (a Pieced Star block, turquoise fabrics, love the color :)
Julia Sidebottom (an intricate Jacob's ladder block, I believe, and a hand
made RS embossed card :-)
Dorothy Ferris (a lovely hand stitched block - *beautiful* stitching; I
think this one is a Friendship Star variation too. :)
Sylvia Lewis (matching bowties, all in different shades of blue, cool :)
Shauna Charron has emailed me that she's sending one. :)
And they're ALL beautiful!
I don't think I missed anyone who sent me one.. I've been saving them all in
a special basket beside my bed, waiting til the end of the month to open
them. Sorry for the delay in picking a winner. Two of my three kids (both my
boys) just got diagnosed with mild asthma, it's been crazy here at home
lately. Like usual.
For those of you who don't read the Sew & Quilt echo (and you should read it!
:-) , when I won the CMQBE earlier this summer, I had to pick a winner then
too. Well, I couldn't decide how to pick. So I let one of my four cats
decide. That worked so well that I thought I would do it again this time.
(Please note that I do NOT have a list of who's eligible and who's not, so
it's potluck, folks. I did ask for the list of past winners last week but no
answer yet.)
(this space is here just to make you crazy) (G)
I put all the blocks out flat on my bed and left the room. Came back upstairs
a while later and sure enough, there's a 20 pound brown tabby cat now
sleeping on the bed. After getting the forklift to move Spike (g), I can
now reveal whose block he selected for the October winner of the QBE....

PEGGY HOOD of Nashville, Tennessee, come on down!!! And tell us all what
block you'd like to have this month!!!!! :-)
