Supra modems have had 3-character LCD displays for along time, August.
My SupraFAXModem 14.4 external which was made and purchased back in 1992
has a 3-character LCD. However, most of the time you only 2 characters
such as "CD" or "LP". 3 characters are shown when it reports the baud
rate: "144".
