-> yup! exactly... where i am, one pays (IIRC) 3% or 7% depending on if they ar

-> fret about it as i just pay what the clerks tell me the total is but the

What bugs me is that it's legal, here, for stores to put price-tags on 
goods which may or may not include the sales tax. If the tax is 
included, then you pay what's on the tag. If not, you find yourself 
having to pay more than is on the tag. The tags carry, in tiny print, 
something like "tax included", or "plus applicable
taxes", but you 
have to look hard to see it. Like most people, I prefer the tax to be 
included, but stores prefer the other, since it makes prices look less.
