I will be happy to go back to my guys that voiced such opinions and forward
them on privately. I have a couple that are out of town right now as well.
Some funny thing about the holidays.

"Every single one has said they don't want to play league because of the
kill scripts."

Could you please be specific??

who has complained to u about kill scripts in league play...

would like to know who exactly it is your talking about .

and Boo. For a first year player, that is not bad, especially when you look
at the overwhelming percentage that has signed up and never played. I may
have played more if I had started before August, too, or doesn't that come
into consideration. The entry for me on Stardock Omega was made only to see
if Stonewall had corrected a database error. I do have the admin logs to
prove that I have never set foot in the game - I am not eligible to, and
that has always been respected.

experience, you are missing a whole dimension. I have asked my regular
members to join in with playing league, and even had a couple who played in
the very early days. Every single one has said they don't want to play
league because of the kill scripts. And yes... I have seen them in league
play, both on Boo and in the Italian game, and both live and afk varieties.
I do have a few regulars that are quite skilled, and when they refuse to
play league, it is perhaps a clue that we need to find out why.

cultivate this middle ground so that next year you will have some other
competition that can play a bit better -- unless of course you don't want
that. You are always saying this game is dead... and it will be unless we
keep the mid-ranks involved.

they are interested. As soon as we have a 4th, we can work on a game design
that will be mutually agreeable and pick a start date for the first match.
(If it has all been lost, basic idea would be to set a game that is playable
in 2-3 weeks. The corps would travel to one board, play the game, then move
to the next board in rotation, so that only one game is going on at a time.
The game will have a definite goal, just like league play. If we get enough
for 2 divisions, then we can have a quarterly final.) If there are
interested sysops out there, drop me a line so that we can work on it as a
group, please. With a bit of upfront teamwork, the individual load will be
minimal, I promise.
