You'll need to play with the DPMI memory setting to drop it to something you 
can handle (in fact, you could probably drop it to 0), and would need to drop 
the memory size down (you should be able to happily go down to about 520Kb, 
which is the lowest I've run my system at).
Let me know if you have any other problems with DV or QEMM and Fd/Max.
