And French - sometimes. For ex., there is a personage of musical 'Notre
Dame de Paris', a prince of thiefs Clopin. -in is a common end of a Russian
surname. 'Klop' in Russian is a smelly bug that drinks blood and lives
usually in dirty rooms. So in Russian parodies he's named Klopin -  quite
respective for homeless :-)
