Well if you really wanna be oldschool, install modems and Desqview :)

But to your users, a BBS running under Windows, Linux or OS/2 will
look just as oldschool as a BBS running under DOS.

I have not found any DOS doors that wont run under Windows,
though there are many old doors that don't support a Fossil driver.

To run non-Fossil doors you could install a Windows virtual COM port
such as NetSerial (http://netserial.com/sysop) but there are easily
 thousands of later doors that do support Fossil drivers, so I don't
know if its really worth the effort.

Another problem with non-fossil DOS doors which I previously
mentioned, is many will not work above COM4 (or above COM9).

I'd suggest buying an old P3 computer with at least 128mb ram.
You can usually find these for about $20 at garage sales or
swap meets, and often they come with a Windows COA sticker.
