What is being refered to here is a very new peice of technology which is
very much portable and suppose to create a feild (I don't recall if it
but I believe it is a mile electric feild) around the diver and when the
shark comes in contact with the field (that is surronding the diver) it
would turn away.  Apparently there were test done and it worked well (I
can not confirm these results).
I have seen an interveiw in which the device was discussed and was
tested (how real the tests and results I don't know) and it seemed to
have good results.  I can try and see if I can get more info on it, but
I do know for sure that this portable device does exist and is designed
to protect the diver with the device from the sharks.
