Somethings not right... what cpu?
In the mean time;
Did you check the setting of the "clk_sw" jumper on the board?
The switch is sometimes set to "off" which limits fsb to 100mhz.
Set to "auto" enables higher fsb settings (the bios might
incorrectly show higher settings as available when the switch is set to
"off").
*** Reset the bios to normal or default settings ("load setup defaults")
and reboot. Set bios as follows.
Once in the bios hit the ctrl and F1 keys to open up some advanced settings.
You have to choose "Expert" mode in the cpu setup screen then you
can adjust cpu/multipliers with effect. Otherwise settings are eye candy.
Full multipliers should be available and have effect now.
*** You might need to manualy clear the bios if a reset doesn't work.
Disconnect computer from power source, unplug it. Clear the cmos with the
jumper (if there) or remove battery. Cycle power switch.
Reset jumper or re-install battery. Reconnect to power source and set bios as above.
