I think if there were any real reason to have a cume folder, in your
situation, it would be only to keep the school from keeping it. :) Whether
or not there are any comments in the cume folder that are handwritten by the
teacher depends a lot on the state laws (and the DOD laws, since she went to
school on Gitmo, right?). In California, teachers do not write on the public
school cume folders any more except to transfer certain things from the final
report card to the hard card of the cume folder. No commentary - and I prefer
it that way.

What does she have to do that night? June 3....gee, that sounds so "early"
compared to the schedule here....Escondido schools are out on the 14th but
Poway isn't out til the 20th! ACK!

I think that would be the hardest for Jennifer, especially after this year
(she represented her class in the school spelling bee, and had several solos
in the school choir). But after hearing that CFS hosts both a spelling bee
*and* a talent show, she felt a lot better.

For her, maybe it was the key. You found a book she liked and she picked up a
lot of things from it. Maybe it finally started to click for her with that
book....ya just never know.

SMART MOVE! I hated the accident, of course, but haven't missed that Aerostar
at all. Love my TransSport! The Oasis reminds me of my neighbor's van. I'd
like that van if it would tow our tent trailer, but alas, it doesn't.

Yeah, I hear ya there. Periodically, my husband takes the TransSport to work
with him and I have to drive the Subaru. I carpool in the mornings. Four
girls and myself in the Subaru is a *tight* squeeze....the youngest of the
four girls is a tall 1st grader (every bit as tall as Kristin in 3rd grade)!
